“Jack” Charles Runyon (1944-2007),
founder and president of Psychological Associates of
Paducah Inc. was instrumental in the development of
the Kentucky Psychological Association Disaster Response
Network, and was regional coordinator for Kentucky Post-Trauma
Response Team. He was also appointed to the Kentucky
Community Crisis Response Board by Gov. Paul Patton.
Jack
began his life-long association with the Kentucky Psychological
Association as a student in 1965. In 2003 he was awarded
their highest honor, Psychologist of the Year.
The next year, he was appointed by Gov. Ernie Fletcher
to the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology.
Jack
considered the whole world his family. That’s
how he treated everyone, and that’s how he conducted
his personal and professional life. When people would
thank him for his help and understanding, he had a favorite
saying - “It’s
just what we do.” |
